P.I.M.P. (Pool In Meh Pan.) by George D. Goddard

Started Feb 16, 2014 0 Replies

Here's another "great" idea for Pan Trinbago to consider: In addition to the pool, install some poles, and some "VIP Private Rooms", where we can prostitute the women of Trinidad and Tobago, especially the panwomen. (Age optional; you can go as low…Continue

Habari Gani: As the United States begins “Black History Month”, African-Americans need to be informed of a part of their “history”, which continues to be omitted from the celebration. Granted, the steel drum (steelpan or pan) is not “American”,…Continue

Started this discussion. Last reply by ken king Feb 4, 2014. 31 Replies

We have always been told that "respect is earned". No one doubts that the thousands of members of the steelbands have earned their respect, but like the "Pan Is Beautiful" prize moneys, the requests for financial audits, and the allowing of spoil…Continue

"The pan which took 'Spree' to glory, had actually been bought from a man named Andrew "Pan" De La Bastide for a shilling (24 cents)," Goddard stated. "It was the first pan ever sold." Goddard, however, was not alone in leveling the serious charge.…Continue

LEADER or MANAGER? (Which are you?)

Started this discussion. Last reply by Cecil hinkson Jan 23, 2014. 1 Reply

The one who emerges as the leader of the Steelband Movement, will not be delegating from cyberspace, but as a TRUE LEADER, will be ahead of the pack, leading the charge! You see, a "leader" leads by example; a "manager" remotely delegates…Continue

Let me begin by admitting that I am no more than a student of steelband and pan history. Most of what I know is from research; the rest comes from recollection (from being around my dad as a child), and personal experience from being a member of two…Continue

The Ghost (that) Talks happens to be my cousin - David, and that's what you look like now? Wow! I always wondered. I have always asked for pics of you and Richard, and thank God that I decided to click on "The Ghost Who Talks" yesterday morning.

I am in Tdad. Isn't the Town Hall meeting out of Tdad, or?

Nice seeing you...will keep in touch!

Don't know you George.

Have just been reading your posts for a while,

on WST.

But feel compelled to send you some love on Valentines. Day.

Keep up your spirits...there will be negative people...in all classes and parts of society every where...not just in Trinidad...ya know.

(You have been living in the belly of the beast...and you survived and thrived...there !

Take those  ' foreigner'  insults as a compliment, boi !

Keep YOUR SELF positive and folks will be attracted to your

sincerity and obvious LOVE.  And then the up lift can begin..

YOU HAVE MUCH TO GIVE.   Do not any one ..or situation...de-rail you.

and do not let yourself...TRIP. ...do not let emotions trip you up...

get you into a negative space.

Have patience with yourself and with ALL OTHERS...even

those who are obvious..."enemy or frien-e-my".

No revolutionary change happens quickly.  The base always

needs to be strengthened and supported...and become organized.

Just be strategic, George.

Just sayin'...

in the spirit of being supportive.

HUGS !  Michaele

                  a born-foreign  (ye gawd...white even !)

who became ...a pan calypso jumbie ...

some one still  stuck here in Florida...

but who will keep MY spirits up

                      by listening to pan !)
