  • CASYM was the 2nd best band that night it was a very good arrangement different from Invaders, I would have given Invaders 2nd in T&T as well. Ardin will win a panorama in Trinidad very soon.
  • "Pantastic" start/intro. They were well prepared and did not show any nervous traits in attacking the business at hand. Great performance.
  • (IMO) Casym sounding like Invaders could never be THE problem and their obstacle to winning, its the Same Arranger. It would have been amazing if Casym won because I loved their vibe and performance but I can't be mad @ the judges because on the night Adlib sounded great as well.
  • There is no question that both Casym and Invaders always give 150% in Panorama competition and they both did that this year. Invaders placed a respectable 4th in T&T and Casym will have to be contented with second place this year. The judges have spoken.
  • I played both arrangements for Invaders and Casym and I am CONVINCED that both bands won their respective Panoramas.
  • As a member of the Invaders, I can say categorically that CASYM sounded excellent and besides a short piece at about 7:10 of the piece, everything else was quite different than the arrangement done by Arddin for Invaders.
  • Patty are you saying CASYM has lost its identity?
  • They sound a lot like Invaders. May be that was part of the problem.

  • I just wish they would have played a little bit slower because there are some GREAT parts in there that I think people missed. I was at the rehearsal the night before and it sounded so sharp but I can't say the same thing for this here. But I love CASYM regardless.

    With Love
  • I agree cheryl.... Adlib edged out casym to me too....not by that much but enough to secure the title because Casym brought the fire as well.... the judges did justice... yes Boogsie-isms ran rampant in other bands as well...Boogsie sure has made an impression on the next generation of arrangers....
