The legendary Pan Am North Stars Steel Orchestra created history when they won the very first T&T Steelband Panorama which was held in 1963.Led by arranger, pan tuning pioneer and inventor, Anthony Williams, here is their arrangement of the Mighty Sparrow's "Dan is The Man In The Van"

    Thanks for the fond memories Glenroy. You just took me back to my younger days when my musical career was was in full swing with the then Pan Am Jet North Stars Steel Orchestra. This is for the history books. I was the youngest to play and tour on 5 and 6 basses with the orchestra. Also with the then BWIA Sun Jet Steel Orchestra. Thanks again and Gods blessings.     Thanks GRJ. They were not only CHAMPIONS , they were also our HEROES for they were FIRST in the FIRST and they set such a very high standard for others to emulate that I believe it is one of the main reasons why Steelpan music as excelled so rapidly in such a short space of time. I say " Tony is the man in this GREAT BAND" .
