We are calling on all Managers,Arrangers, Captains, Pan tuners of All Steelbands in T&T and rest of the world.along with all profesional Steelpan musicians including Robbie Grenidge, Len Boogsie Sharp, Ken Philmore, Andy Narrell, Othello Mollineau, Duvone Stewart, Liam Teague, Ray Hollman, Earl Brooks,and the many more others, the larger than life Pan personaities including Elli Mannette, Neville Jules, Anthony Williams, Bertie Marshall and others........

We need your involvement in this Petition. Your participation will certainly make the difference It is an opportunity for the world Pan community to stand behind a CAUSE, and a just cause as such. The government of T&T will have to listen.

In the local Pan Community of T&T Managers & Captains ought to get all participants for 2011 to sign up ( after all it is about you) so Stand Up For Your Rights. There are also many non pan players who will support this cause so spread the message....Panorama Preliminaries is only three weeks away.

We really need to put aside other differences for the moment and deal with this issue. We can always pick up the other issues after.

The main issue is about getting the government to reverse its policy towards the Panorama Preliminary funding for 2011 ...in other words to simply give back the $200TT .....which is only about $34 US dollars ...YES IT IS PATHETIC.... and a case of penny pinching. this money is 'small-thing' for a government with a robust economy as T&T but that $200TT means a lot to the 10,000 pan players who will be affected. This is also not an attack on the government of Trinidad & Tobago but it is a democratic right to stand up against a bad policy taken by the government and this is indeed a bad Policy. so come on and sign the Petition.

You cannot be afraid or ashamed to put your name for a worthy cause...you are not supporting an organization but supporting a cause. We are calling on the government of T&T to do the right thing and we are calling on all the people listed in this post to also do the right thing.

So busy here in Trinidad that I just saw your post and right now we have 8 more than the 300 spartans so I agree ' We good to go' . these are 308 people who have put aside other issues for this important cause of standing up against this Policy of the band of Gypsies. We are getting a lot more of the local community here in Trinidad as the word spreads and we are now contemplating the Strategy for presentation to the government. It is my opinion that it has to be presented by the T&T organization as the Steelpan representative body Pan Trinbago...... I would highlight to them the importance of a press conference format by inviting all the media ...despite what number of signatures collected.... To the rest of the 6000 plus WST members do not say that you were not invited to be a part of this history. you have to consider what side of the fence you are on you are either on the side of the brave 308 strong (so far) or the side of the band of Gypsies or if you stay on the sidelines you are on the side of all talk and no action the choice is always yours ..do the right thing 'DO SOMETHING FOR PAN' 'HISTORY IS CALLING YUH......SIGN THE PETITION

Keep up the efforts, Salah! ALL WST members...get with it...SIGN THIS PETITION. Yes, it is for such a small amount of money...yes, going forward, things need to change for a better funding system all together, but as a matter of principle NOW, ALL WHO LOVE PAN, SIGN THE PETITION.

Hi Salah, The problem is that we are not getting across the reason for the payment to the pannists. It is NOT for the Preliminaries it is for the whole Panorama SEASON. We have to impress this upon the 'Gypsie Wanderer'. He keeps saying it is for hte Preliminaries and he can't pay 'all that money' for Preliminaries. Imagine this lil pittance he calling 'all that money'

The petition is now geting around to most bands in T&T so as expected the signatures are coming in strong from the people who will be directly affected by the Gypsy's policy. We are now trying to get ordinary Trinidadians to participate ....but what is strikingly missing and coming up short is the WST membership on this Forum...we are simply running out of time as the Panorama preliminaries are happening on Feb 4th...not much time left. I simply refuse to believe that we cannot get 6000 signaturs on this Forum......who has not signed yet ..do you want to at least tell us why you refuse to sign up......your signature can help affect the outcome of this Petition.......visited Silver Stars , Despers, and All Stars and they are in......Where do you Stand
