Further, Pan Trinbago Inc. is in no way connected to or associated with the newspaper notice in the Trinidad Express of Wednesday 09th April on page 23 and under the headline “Ramesh to speak at Pan Trinbago forum”.
Pan Trinbago Inc., therefore regards this particular misinformation to be regrettable and expresses outrage that such misrepresentation has been perpetrated on both its membership and the public.

Thanks so much for posting this, Trevor. This demonstrates,once again, how the current executive of Pan Trinbago works...which is no different from past executive bodies. Having participated in pan here in Trinidad for the past 12 years, I can state that this has gone on and on with countless examples of cars, money, questionable audits, elections railroaded for power, etc....so this video brings to light the current state. Frankly, I think the steelbands should forget contesting but should form an entirely new governing body. Then the government would eliminate Pan Trinbago from funding, as it would not be supported as a viable entity.
AMD, firstly, let me say I agree with you on two points, which by the way I have been making over and over again on this forum. Those two points are, (1) an entirely new body needs to be formed; not a facsimile of Pan Trinbago, but a true "union", i.e. a NON-PROFIT association, that represents "workers" (panmen, panwomen, arrangers, makers, tuners, engine room percussionists, flagpersons, blenders, rack makers, etc.), and not answer to stock owners or stockholders. (2) the "steelbands should forget contesting..." By the way, Pan Trinbago's "Constitution" prohibits for-profit efforts and the ownership of shares by both the organization and its "executive" (i.e. President, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.) I have extensively exposed this current executive's violations of their own constitution and Trinidad and Tobago business laws on WST. By the way, at the New Visionaries meeting at Silver Harps, my pardners and I were represented; those who were in attendance would know that. We have a CLEAR plan, as evidenced in the Blueprint For Steelpan Success and have specifically called for the forming of the "Steelband and Steelpan Workers Union". We are also in the process of embarking on other ventures that will positively impact the local steelpan industry (and YES, it is an "industry", and we NEED to view it that way). I applaud the New Visionaries' courage in their challenge against Pan Trinbago, however, the key is having the "vision" to be considered a "visionary". I await any proposals by this body, that define a clear "vision" as to the positive future "Quality of Life" of the local industry and its workers. We have stated our positions in the "Blueprint". I. personally, could not care less whether the government eliminates funding to Pan Trinbago or not; I think that it is best for us to focus ONLY on what is BEST for the local "worker", and not think about the WORST that can happen to Pan Trinbago.
Finally, what I would dispute is ANY sweeping indictment of ALL "past executive bodies", and hope that you refer to the last "12 years", not the entire 63 years of their existence. I would encourage you to research further into the history of the "past executive bodies" (the Steelbands Association, NATTS, and finally Pan Trinbago). There you would see that Pan Trinbago, is the brainchild of another "visionary" group (T.O.P.S.), and that George "Sonny" Goddard openly opposed MANY of the things killing pan today (government influence, sponsorship, lack of transparency and responsible governance, greed and corruption, politics, and the willful giving away of our propriety and "ownership" of the steelpan). ANYONE, who knows that history, would know that George "Sonny" Goddard was the GREATEST LEADER of ALL three (Steelbands Association, NATTS, and Pan Trinbago), and that he left as Treasurer, after they refused to be audited upon his return. Your indictment may fit any other "past executive bodies", except those where he was President. (See "Who Am I - A Breakdown of the Accomplishments of George "Sonny" Goddard" on this WST website.) No disrespect meant; just attempting to place your viewpoint in the fair and unbiased perspective. Peace.

Melville , the forum which was held at Silver Stars Pan Yard was conducted by the New Vissionairies This was not a "Pan Trinbago" meeting where a member cannot speak to the Chair more than once on a topic. This was a meeting held to demonstrate to the nationals of T&T and by extension the world of the inconsistencies and lies that you all who hold position have no integrity. I hope you listened to what Mr. Maharajh had to say. About you holding the position as a "Consultant" clearly shows that you are drawing money from the organisation under false Pretences. I guess you as the others on the committee must also hold multi positions, each drawing multi salaries which is to no benefit of the organisation.. Please remember Pan Trinbago Inc. are the members of the Organisation, section 9 allows the members to "ELECT" a committee to manage the affairs of the Organisation. Have you to told the membership that the Appeal which you as consultant approverd would cost the Organisation around half a million dollars or more. Amd for what/ because you did not use your good office wisely so that the Democratic system would prevail.
The ten percent which is deducted from bands was not to appeal matters but to defend matters in court. You should be ashamed to call yourself consultant , you should resign with immediate effect. Shame on you Appealing a decision by a Judge to prevent members of the Organisation from taking part in a Pan Trinbago Election. Maybe, you all at the top have something to hide.

Pan Trinbago must disassociate itself from that meeting, they rule by keeping their members in the dark about the business of the association, and when they do get the information, and talk about it, their band is victimized. For starters, how many of you know that Katzenjammers were to be part of the parade for STEEL FEST last year? Mrs. Ramsey-Moore had the guts to stand up for what is right, and must be supported in her bid for the presidency, where have all the men with the guts and Ba..s to do that? Do you know that in that Executive some members do not say 1 single word at a meeting, while another, when touchy issues are being discussed is busy PLAYING GAMES on his cell phone? This is not what anyone has told me I was there, and seen it LIVE?

I am reliably informed that he is over EIGHTY YEARS OLD and is assistant office manager to Mr Forteau the secretary. Melville is also Pantrinbago"s consultant and legal liaison officer. Pantrinbago bought a car for him to use and the car is no more so they have been renting one for him more than two years now. We all can see he is one who is also milking and drinking the fat off Pantrinbago.
