Boston area based steel panist, arranger and composer. Also a percussionist, keyboardist and music teacher. Began arranging at the age of 10 with various groups and formed Pan United in 2001 which went on to be a leading steel orchestra in New England in the last decade. Charleston currently is the director of the Roland Hayes School of Music's steel pan program where it serves up to 50 current Boston Public Schools students. He also was hired in 2012 to revive St. Mary's Heavenly Fire Steel Band, and in 2013 took over the reigns as arranger for USA Eastside Symphony in Brooklyn New York. Charleston is also a freelance musician, having performed and toured all around the United States from small clubs to large arenas. Charleston is the grandson of Denzil 'Belt' Botus and son of Debra 'Sista D' Sarjeant (Denzil's daughter).
