DJ park up music band too. If you have a steelband in a fete when they start to play people use that time to go and P, buy a drink or talk on the phone, after hearing amplified music it's difficult to hear a steelband. The way I see it is we have to start over with steelband, no other kind ah music that is we National Instrument, I aint think Borough Day have other music. Why I said carnival Tuesday is beacuse if we have Monday for pan only not much more people would play in ah steelband but if it;s Tuesday ah lot more people would take part.
Welcome to WST,I'm happy 2 C U put in your two cents in some of the discussions, they don't always have their facts straight so that's where U and I come in. We have seen steelbands taken out of carinval and is now just a showpiece for panorama, I think that it is our duty to help make steelband rule the road again for carnival. We want carnival Tuesday for pan alone on the road. lol I know it's ah tell order.
Hi Cheryl Flemming.Your note may suggest that Boogsie did his own composition for panorama instead of the normal calypsos and that people like Pelham followed. For the records, Ray Holman did the first ever own composition in Panorama with Starlift, Pan On The Move in 1972 placing 3rd in the national finals. Boogsie was a double second player in the band that year and after we came back from Caribana in 1972, he left with a few players and opened Phase 11.

Happy Birthday Cheryl, be blessed at all times.
Hi, I am trying to understand from where are you coming, by saying that the credit(for what) must go to Ray Holman? Kindly explain.
