I was born in San Fernando, grew up, did my schooling and began working in the oilfields at Apex Trinidad Oilfields, where I lived at Fyzabad. I am a lover of the pan but sadly I cannot play the instrument. In Fyzabad during my earlier life, there was only one steel band at that time and was for the bigger boys from up the junction. The younger ones, especially if you were from Apex did not stand a chance. Always and will continue to support the steel band.
