I was born in Point Fortin T&T. Lived in Toronto since 1976. I have always kept in tuned culturally. I am a songwriter and though I mostly wrote R&B and adult contemporary songs From time to time I would write calypso/ soca songs and other genres like reggae and hip hop. After I heard about the tragic death of the Japanese pannist Asami Nagakiya, I felt compelled to write a tribute song. I did and then seeked an outlet for the pan song. This is how I discovered "When Steel Talks". I am going to submit the Asami tribute song and another pan song to "When Steel Talks" for consideration and hoping the quality will be good enough to be accepted and therefore expose the music to the pan world. Thank you for the opportunity.
