Leon F. Simeon, AOCA, BA, MA. Born in Trinidad, West Indies, he received his high-school education at St. Benedict's College, La Romaine, Trinidad. Leon studied Commercial Art at the John S. Donaldson Technical Institute (1975-1977) and graduated with a Craftsman Diploma. Leon worked as a Commercial Artist for the Neal & Massy Group of Companies (Trinidad) in the Advertising and Public Relations Department for five years, before migrating to Toronto, Canada, to further his studies in Art. Leon attended the Ontario College of Art in 1979 and graduated in 1981 with an Associate Degree in Communication & Design/Corporate Design, (AOCA). On January16, 1998, Leon received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Liberal Arts from the Regents College, (The University of the State of New York) in Albany, New York. On May 14, 2005, Leon graduated from Lamar University, in Beaumont, Texas with a Master of Arts degree in Visual Arts. Leon achieved his accomplishments while maintaining family and work commitments as a Teacher/Instructor at the Art Institute of Houston, in the Advertisement/Graphic Design Department for 21 years. Leon presently teaches at Westwood College of Technology, and at the American InterContinental University as an Adjunct Instructor. Leon has been actively involved in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Association of Texas, (Non-Profit Organization with a 501C3 Status). He served as the President, Vice-President, and Public Relations Director over the many years of his involvement and commitment. Now that Leon has reached another level of his educational goal with his Masters Degree, he plans to dedicate more of his time learning Computer Software Programs so that he can create more designs and continue to teach in the highly competitive field of Design in this highly technological age of learning.
