I was just one of about 25 trade apprentices in the trade shop at that time. I was sent to the electrical department.
If you send me the mp3 at grjoseph@comcast.net, it will be much appreciated. I'll add it to the Panorama 69 collection on my channel. I got the panorama album off e-bay from some guy in France.
I'm curious, where did you get the track from? The album only had eight tracks, and that was one from the finals that was left off.
Hey, Miles,
How ya doin'? I've come across several Glenroy Joseph's, but you are the only Miles Sosa that I'm aware of.
I'm in Londonderry, NH living with a wife and two kids. I'm a couple years from retirement, but when I do I hope to return to T&T in the winter months and hopefully help out the local steelband.
Meanwhile I'm posting any interesting cultural artifacts that I come across, especially old steelband stuff. I like to let pan people worldwide be aware that there was pan before Andy Narrell, and to give an idea of the growth of pan through the years.
Are you the Miles Sosa that was a student apprentice at Texaco, Pointe-a-Pierre in the 1960's? I was also an apprentice there at that time and I clearly remember him.
I'll follow your suggestion and update my videos as you suggest. I guess I also have to let everyone know that for some reason Starlift's performance wasn't recorded, and thus isn't available.
BTW, do check my youtube channel I'm trying to make it something of a cultural repository.(www.youtube.com/grjoseph)

Take care,
