I remember that bomb tune very well. In those days I was a staunch Starlift supporter up until 72-73 when the band split.......I distinctly recall your home was the ONLY home I went to in which a tenor pan was in the living room.......you tried to show me how it was played but for the life of me I could not use both hands at the same time to do separate things........I still can't.....impossible for me to play a cuatro or piano let alone a pan. If you are the Ron Emrit who lived on Luis Street, perhaps you may recall me - - - two houses down from Emmamali's......opposite Miss Blanche!! I somehow though link you with Solo and Errol with Starlift. Is Errol in T&T. Would love to establish contact.
Hi Ron, tried to send you a note and it got messed up, hope this gets through.
As I was saying that off beat phrasing that we have come to know as a trade mark of Invaders was there long before Zephryn and Ray was on the scene. Those influences came from people like Kelvin Dove, Lloyd Lori, Oliver Mc Colin, Myfan who were the predecesors the Modern Invaders.....just so your info is more accurate O.K.
