Besson Street and Morvant Alumni... although I don't have one of his pans, my uncle is Wallace Austin and I used to watch as he developed his skills when I was a boy. Moved to Houston in '78 and learned the tenor with Alaska's group ended playing with a small group called Steeltones. After playing a few songs with the band at my daughter's wedding I hung up my sticks. I always dream of playing in Trinidad with All Stars in Panorama but maybe it's more feasible to do it in New York, hmmnn
