I’ve been playing steel pan for 33 years of my life. Did stage side songs for Eclipse steel orchestra, Mangrove steelbandand Ebony steel band. Taught steel pan classes in both Mangrove and Ebony. Won Pan Explosion with Ebony and came Second with Mangrove and Pantasia. Have been playing steel pan in Trinidad and Tobago from since 2002 with Trinidad All Stars which was a totally different experience to the uk Panorama. After that experience I continued on to play with Phase 2 Pan Groove, Skiffle Bunch. Spent several years at Silver Stars and now with Renegades. I’ve also played with for a few years Professor Philmore and Courts Sound Specialists, Tamana Pioneers with Andre White, Small Bands including Cresendos and Southern Marines and several single bands. Currently studying music therapy and play the piano jazz trained. Tenor and Double seconds have been the pans I loved to play including the C, A and G pan fourth and fifths. I’ve played other pans for example seven and nine and tenor bass, three pan and guitar pan. My love for steel pan has taken me far and wide of which I will always look back as a great achievement in my life.
