Heard my first pans in 1968 at age 12 in the UK, stayed with me all these years, and have only just ordered a tenor, better late than never I guess. Now, who can teach me how to play, not many pan players in Australia, never mind finding a teacher in my little part of it !
Pan has arrived from Trinidad, it's lovely, in chrome with chrome stand. Stand may need a bit of a mod', as I think the screws holding the hight will not last long. About to start African drum lessons, going back to the roots, maybe help me understand the rhythms.
