WINSTON A. MAINGOT a.k.a. Skippy Was born in St Thomas village Chaguanas, Trinidad. Where he was a founding member, arranger and leader of the Wonderland Steelband. He later became a Policeman, and was leader and arranger of the Police steelband. In 1967, he was selected as a member of the Trinadad & Tobago contingent at Expo 67 in Montreal Canada, playing in the Expo 67 Steelband, which later became known as the Exponians Steelband, in which he was Leader and arranger. The Exponians later went on to become the Trinidad Playboys Steelband, in which he was Leader and at present resident arranger. He began writing, composing and performing calypsos in the 1980’s, and has won Calypso Monarch titles in Montreal and Toronto. His compositions were performed by well known artistes such as Ronnie Mackintosh, Crazy ,Macomere Fifi, Connector, Webb and other’s. In 2013 he gave you NOTHING SWEETER THAN PAN, in 2016, DOH JAM ME and for 2017, PAN IN T&T.
