Am a steelpan music aficionado, with a deep respect for the contribution of the legends and pioneers and an admiration for the value-added of the younger generation of pannists formally trained in music. I continue to be disappointed by the fact that Trinidad and Tobago - inclusive if the steelpan fraternity - has not been able to further, and more speddily, advance the status of this cultural art form, termed "canned enchantment".
