Joanne has been performing as a singer for the past forty odd years through out Trinidad where she started and was the Tobago Soul Queen in the late sixties. Migrated to the US in 1968 and continued her career with her husband Jimmy Nelson from Jimmy Nelson and the Celebrities. Through their many travels, Joanne saw the steel pan being played all over the world and five years ago, decided to become a panist. Playing the pan adds to her performance and makes her much in damand.
