Hello Wayne,
I am happy that you are a person who is approachable. Instead of hitting back because of instinct, you rationalized. We as people will not always agree, but you seem to be the kind of person, who will sit down at the table and dialogue. Thats what we need to help get back the Country.
I cannot blame the Government for all the ills, although they never cared about my beautiful Laventille. Even today, my mother still cannot get water and her WASA BILL is paid every month, but is another story. (smiles) Thanks for the info about St. James. I never knew of any stigma associated with your beautiful St. James.(smiles) I wrote two books, "Crossword Puzzles of T&T," and "400 Questions and Answers on Pan 1960 to Present." If you E mail your land line number to me at, (laventl@aol.com) I will call you. Thanks again
Dear Mr. Wayne Walcott,
I read your comment re. the little girl pannist from the D' Radoes panyard in Brooklyn, NY. While I commend you for your comment, I take offence when anyone talk about laventille as a "war zone" I no not blame you for your choice of words, you are merely a victim of the bias media. They do not report the "correct geography" when reporting news from Laventille. Anything that happens "behind the bridge," John John,
Picton,Trou Macaque and Success Village are all reported as "Laventille." This is very unfair to the Laventille in which I grew up and still stay whenever I am in Trinidad. Love peace and pan
