Jackson State has been fortunate to inherit new, fully equipped, percussion equipment. Among the many instruments gathered, the steel pans are indeed amongst the excitement. Coming in in the Spring of 2014, this is the first steel pan ensemble at JSU. Continue to visit this page for upcoming performances. The piece is Prelude in E Minor by Frederic Chopin. Not the traditional piece for steel pans, this rendition provides a still/calm appeal through the steady sound of the steel pans.
