  • NICE

  • Best I have ever heard!

  • What a performance!!! What a performance!!! As a Trinidadian who has followed Panorama from the very first one in 1963, and Panorama all around the world, I have to tell you, this is one of the best Panorama performances that I have ever witnessed. This band played a song that I, as a Trinidadian and West Indies supporter, recognized immediately. The song paid homage to two Antiguan heroes -- Shortshirt and Viv Richards. It praised the West Indies team, even though we are still struggling. It sang the praises of Robbie Greenidge and Despers, Smooth and All Stars, Boogsie and Phase II, Jit and Renegades, and Pelham and Exodus. Obviously, the arranger had studied the musical genius of these arrangers. The song paid homage to the Steeband culture that was nurtured in a flambo smoke engulfed, bamboo and coconut branch tent. And when you think that the tune couldn't get any better, they broke out with David Rudder's "Rally Round the West Indies". I am so happy to see my fellow West Indians rallying around the Steelband. Well done Hells Gate. Well done.

  • Yes Glenroy,

I agree with you. I had Gemonites as leading until I heard Hells Gate. Congratulations to Hells Gate and a thumbs up for all the competitors. I was told by an Antiguan that when TASPO went to England in 1951, Hells Gate had already performed in England. Is that correct?

  • First class steelband Panorama performance, indeed !

  • Well done........execution...et.at,
