I must admit I teared up a bit after hearing this peace both for the quality of the performance and the sadness of the sad  ending of a career so sudden and unnecessary...Go with God Asami...

Wonderful talent and provided a new showcase for PAN on an International scale at new levels. T&T must never forget this.

What happened to this beautiful and talented Japanese woman, who so loved Trinidad and the steelpan, is sad beyond belief. Nothing can bring her back. Hopefully, the perp who strangled her to death would be swiftly brought to justice. Condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. May her soul rest in peace.

Not too many local pannists have had the opportunity to play their own composition in front a large orchestra.

This was no  ordinary pan fanatic.
