Congratulations to Courts Babonneau Steel Orchestra.

However, it is my humble observation that the Trinidadian judges are usually very conservative when it comes to judging steel pan arranged by their fellow country men. Arrangement for Pantime Steel Orchestra was done by a Trinidadian arranger. In my my layman's view, myself and other pan enthusiasts were surprised at the results and I felt that his band should have won. Maybe some light could be shed on this.

As a parent,,,, the old saying goes as follows,,find work for idle hands to do,,,,involving our youths of today and the future, in such an activity as steelpan playing, not leaving out the making of the pans also, with dedication and dicipline would keep them out of the devils playground,,,, trouble,, at least,,once they see the benefits of such a strange and wonderfull instrument, not leaving out the unseen that the future has to offer, .ah do hope that those in authority do support and let this culture live on forever not to be neglegent,,,,,to the point,,,,, all the ministers of culture and tourism,,once it goes in par with steelpan,,amen.
