In this edition of our "Beyond the Camera" interview series. We spoke with Charysse Tia Harper and Keith Musaman Morton, Caribbean filmmakers working the documentary, "Panomundo." Keith, of Kittian heritage, lives in the UK and Charysse, with Trinidadian heritage, lives in the US. They have partnered for the production of the documentary, which traces the history of the steelband and its influence in different parts of the world. In making the film, they have traveled from T&T to Japan with several stops in between. Their last stop is Nigeria, in November, then it's off to post. In our "Beyond the Camera," interview series, we interview filmmakers of Caribbean descent, as well as any filmmakers contributing to the growth and development of storytelling through film, in the Caribbean and the diaspora. The interviews are our way of getting to know them personally and professionally, and of sharing them and their work, with you.
