Dr. Jit Samaroo, arranger extraordinaire, has always used the mid range pans to full efect in his arrangements for the Renegades Steel Orchestra...Indeed one of the "trademarks" of his arrangements.
That is just FANTASTIC and indeed UNIQUE for it is that we are now hearing the versatility of these background Pans and witness a Genius at work imparting to us the Tone , Range and Creativity that these Instruments are capable of producing .
I suggest that we all take note. This is a painted pan set; do you know what the cost would have been to chrome this set. I was told that the clarity difference between a well prepared/tuned painted pan and a well prepared/tuned chromed pan is .001, i:e minuscule. I admit that chromed pans are more attractive, but with the downturn of the world's economy..............

Thats the idea. The goal must be to incorporate all the pan istruments (not just the high pans) into conventional collabrations.
