  • Hello Big Mike,

I am OK in T&T staying at my mother's home in Laventille and do not know                                 "wha crime day talkin bout up here" (lol) I saw David, he is tackling a 4-pan in Desperadoes, but horrors. He said, with big Mike I could play chords, but with Desperadoes & Robert its only runs. (lol) I asked the guy who is teaching him the song to allow him to chord the hard runs and melody the slow passages. The guy did ask the Vice Captain if it's OK, but since the band is lacking players for the 4-pan, David will have to come up to scratch or he will be dropped.  Are you making the trip.

And yes, Beverly chords was always relative to the melody. I can see that some of his style has rubbed off on you, and that why I like the chords that you use in your band.

  • Hey Ian, How is everything man!!!

  • The one and only Beverly Griffith the early Golden Years of Desperadoes I have always had great admiration for Bev's and Desperadoes.

  • Pictured from left to right: Roy "babylon" Estrada, Bertram "speedy" Ash, Ralph "sharkey" Guildford, Robert Greenidge, Jerry Waldron and Edward Towine. FYI, Mr. Beverly Griffith arranged 37 of Desperadoes' recorded pieces from 1964 to 1966.
