Now as a trini I know that panorama bands could sound just as good because despers version of this song proved it..The reason despers sounded like this band is not the capability of the players but the discipline despers display on every performance..Panorama players all want to hear themselves among all the noise hence the tonal quality is lost as thy might as well hit the sides of the pans resulting in that familiar tin can sound. A symphony orchestra played alongside a steel band in Queens hall in the sixties. The leader of the symphony commented that the difference between the performances was the cost of the instruments referring to pans as discarded items of no value yet producing music to compete with the world's elite..That's the the product I know and am very proud of.. Panorama pan men, your arrangements are great, your players are great, your production would be just as great if only you play pan as demonstrated with this performance instead of beating pan like if it was a woman who horn you..
