From 2nd to 4th October 2008, the stage of Queen's Hall was transformed into a Native American Village as the Lydians, with Steel, presented "Scenes from the Song of Hiawatha" a trilogy composed by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. The Lydians dedicated its performance of this Opera to the First People's of Trinidad and Tobago and specifically, the Santa Rosa Carib Community (http://www.kacike.org/srcc/), whose culture and traditions have inspired the set pieces, design paintings and costumes.
