  • Leroy Clarke and Real Steel, awesome.

  • Just like Real Pan.  Indeed!

  • That was nice! Enjoyed listening to that.

  • I have listened to this piece of music over and over and i stand by my words. The interweaving of these passages is something else. The musical relationship between the frontline and accompaniment pans tell a great story, each in their own right. I just love the introduction and the player with the job of keeping the timing on the cowbell.Very precise and confident performance by all. The rhythm section held their end well as this performance built up gradually into a somewhat fast clip of an arrangement. Great basses and four-pans....heard very clearly. All the soprano pans were functioning as though it were only one pan. Kudos must also go out to the band's tuner who made it all possible with good, fine tuning of the instruments. Further, I was in awe of the young man playing the 4-pans at the front of the band. He was amazing and made that instrument speak not only loudly but very clearly, especially when the four-pans and guitars were carrying the melody. Congrats players....that is what real steelpan music is about. Excellent interpretation. Great harmonies. Nice arrangement. Wonderful tonal quality, and an inviting Spirit of Carnival rhythm. Cheers. You won this panorama by a mile.

  • Just want to say a big thank you and congratulations to Leroy Clark and members of real steel on making history completing the hatrick on the 50th anniversary of the UK panorama 2014. Not to forget making history by winning with a tune composed by a British born Pannist who has won the BAS Steelpan soloist of Great Britain on 3 separate occasions and decided a collaboration with Trinidadian veteran calypsion the original Defosto and compose two land marks in the history of the Steelpan. Before I continue I must state that these achievements in combination will NEVER BE REPEATED In our life time and it will be the 100s Anniversary when. It can be done.
    1. 2013 Trinidad celebrated 50 years of panorama the composition We come out to play WON the small band panorama with BJ marshal arrangement with Arima golden symphony
    2. We come out to play was also the most played tune in Trinidad panorama 2013 I have records of 10 bands performing it there may be more that I have misted.

    3. 2014 London. Celebrates 50 years of panorama and the winning band performs my second composition Pan in the atmosphere and wins UK panorama.
Just a little bit of the history of pan I would like to draw your attention to.
Pan love and I am pan this goes to all Pannist world wide. Best wishes for panorama and in the future
    Warmest regards might jamma

  • Great Job. Wonderful driving seconds and guitars backed up by a fiery engine room.

Watch pan tuning, we need real steel but the instruments must sound like instruments.

Then the harmonics, I could not see the the canopies but those steel posts vibrate awfully. Wood

may vibrate less. Its worthwhile trying.

Leroy Clarke is certainly making a name for himself.

    Congratulations.

  • In 2010 I had the chance to meet Toussaint and Leroy Clarke in Bath. I learned about the Rainbow Steel Orchestra and realized that they are a powerful root for steelpan in GB. Talking to Hallam Ifill was a great honour for me. One of the fruit of this pan tradition is Real Steel Plymouth. Their fantastic music tells it all!
Congratulations to each and everyone who is part of this musical masterpiece.
