This hit from Lord Melody from the mid nineteen fifties brings back memories of a particular period of my childhood .
I remember the year this song was popular , living in the country ( New Grant) where we had moved in '53, and our mother taking us to San Fernando for the Carnival.
In those days , Carnival in San Fernando was good enough that there was no need to go to Port of Spain to enjoy Carnival!
