What happened to Trinidad and Tobago? We lost our heartbeat; the rhythm to which we moved. We now move to a different rhythm; a heartbeat not of our own. We have lost our identity, and the Portrait of Trinidad becomes obscured and muddled, to the point where we are no longer recognizable. (Observe, how NO ONE mistakes a Jamaican accent. Why? They branded themselves and their culture!)
