This was a great addition to the art form. There was a book written by two brothers who
played with Jim and Jason ,on the various steps of the sailor dance . Also go to my
web site tribute to Jason at http://fancysailor.com
I knew Mr. Wilson.
Mr. Wilson does speak of the dance and its development of the Sailor mas' but not on how the mas' itself developed especially the change from a King sailor [Jim Hardin] to the more creative Head mas' Sailor of the likes of Johannesburg Fascinators.to Cito Velasquez and Geraldo Vieria.
