Did you know the steelpan is the only acoustic instrument invented in the 20th Century? "Panomundo" is a feature-length documentary about the history of the steelpan - from its humble, yet violent beginnings in Trinidad & Tobago - to its influence in different parts of the world: USA, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Japan and Nigeria. This promo video introduces what we have filmed and what we will be exploring. We will be traveling to Nigeria in November 2013 to complete the film.

Great to see the Promo on WST. I was recently informed of this work-in-progress...and all in-depth,accurate research & promotion of "Pan",is highly appreciated. I would think that:-'Traditional Drums/Drumming.*Oris(h)a influences,etc...will find a Deserved spot in this Film! Total Success! One Love! ASE-O!!!
