The true spirit and character of this song 'Amor', which means Love, was captured equally by the respective renditions of both the Silver Stars and Desperadoes Steel Orchestras. Silver Stars Steel Orchestra's rendition was more spirited and uptempo, in keeping with their signature style of dance-oriented music. Whilst, the Desperadoes Steel Orchestra's version was slower and more deliberate , in keeping with the tempo of the original song. The arrangements incorporated into each version were aptly and well executed.
I, personally, prefer the more uptempo version of the Silver Stars Steel Orchestra. This is a matter of personal musical taste, and in no way, do I assert the superiority of their rendition.
Any comments on how this version compares with Despers both are danceable and enjoyable but Bradley arrangement is close to the heart. Glen I'm hoping you can help me with the background on this song I believe it has to do with a love affair or something to that effect.
