When we took songs from Musicals, etc and made them into monster hits on the road, The era of 'I feel Pretty' "Serenade from the Student Prince' and even Invaders Beautiful Dreamer and many more. This goes back to the iconic 'Back Bay Shuffle'. These, I feel were as impressive as when the boys took established Western classical music and had us jump to them.

Silver Stars by way of Cipriani Blvd, Port of Spain TNT. Pan To The BONE.
Is it only me , or does it seem like the most memorable Carnival "road " pieces of yesteryear were not calypso, but pop or classical?.
This one always reminds me of J'ouvert morning, but more so of a good "going home las' lap " tune (at a slower tempo) of years ago.
One of the greats!
