Popular disc jockey Mr Desmond (Desmond Peters) has initiated a fund-raising drive to assist ailing music icon Pal Joey Lewis. The venture has been given the blessings of Lewis’ wife Julia and will be held at B’s Popover & Lounge, at Agnes Street, Marabella on Saturday, May 16. This week, Peters said: “Joey has always been instrumental in my career as a DJ for a long time so I think it’s my way of saying thank you. I have been given approval to do this fund-raiser by his wife Julia. Kenny Phillips is assisting me in this project.”
