Brilliant tremendously Brilliant
Good idea the Danube meets the Nile. This is what unity is all about.
Lets hope very soon that the Pan Fraternity in NY will produce a well planned Steel Orchestra Classical Concert.
Better yet, why wait for someone else to start. My dream can be a reality, if we all brainstorm. Is anyone out there interested in the possibility of a collective effort. I remember the first time I heard a difficult classic, played by a Steel Orchestra. The year was 1965 when Desperadoes performed "The Marriage of Figaro" which was the most difficult piece attempted at that time. All Stars performed that same piece 10 years ago. Too bad none of them were recorded.
Do not let any negative thoughts cloud this vision. I am on board.
Not one shot of the steel band was shown, as always in the back ground.
It seems that the steelband instrument, although it stands on its own as a full orchestra, will in time be integrated into the clssical music ensemble.
This was wonderful to witness. I appreciate Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra and its conductor for stepping out into so many new forms and including our steelband. It was an exciting concert overall.
bravo , continue composing and keeping an open mind!
