  • "Starlift and Ray Holman at their very best performance,Woodbrook to the bone".

  • With All Respect & Love to my brothers Glen J & Peter G I played that night an from people respond i have to go with what i said, have a bless day.

  • Holman's "The Bull" was/is a classic steelband-jazz arrangement -- worthy of inclusion in every pan teaching curriculum.

    Peter

  • Unfortunately, we do not have a panorama performance of this winning arrangement, so it is difficult to judge, since I wasn't present at the finals.

However, we do have Panorama performances by other bands, and , judging by the performances of Solo Harmonites and Guinness Cavaliers, that Starlift performance on Panorama Finals night in 1969 must have been something special.

  • love ray music but that year Hatters had the better Bull
  • Classical Ray Holman!
  • In 1969, Starlift was CIBC Starlift (Bank of Commerce) and not Angostura Starlift. What you have there is the recorded LP version and not the Panorama version.
