    Some more trivia on Dixieland. The band went on tour in 1961 through 1962 visiting Florida, Massachussetts,    New York, Canada, England, France, Italy, Switzerland and was the first band to visit the Afircan Continent.

    Dixieland also placed 3rd at panorama in 1968. I had the pleasure of meeting Curtis Pierre; he has a great sense of humour. I will say he was the original "rebel with a cause"

    In this festival 1960  won by Dixieland, 2nd place went to Invaders playing " In A Monastery Garden" and 3rd was Sundowners playing " Skaters Waltz".
