  • I agree with the comment of odw. This recording was done by the Cook Recording Company at the corner of Frederick and Park Streets on Jouvert morning. Excellent bit of live recording. It is good to note all the bands in the mix.

    I did not know that the brass band was Ed Watson :).

    It is also noteworthy that this was the year that Anthony Williams started experimenting with pan on wheels.

    I must make mention of the fact that most of the progress made by the steelbands was during the years that they ware attempting to create a better , more musical ,more mobile , more powerful product for the road at Carnival.

    Once the Panorama became the "raison d'etre"  for the steelband , progress slowed , almost to a stop.
