The Victorian town of Marysville hosted the Australian Steelband Festival - the first of its kind in the country.
This vibrant new festival introduced three days of steel-based events including individual steelband performances, competition based Panorama Play-off and the Communities Super Steelband.
This festival also provides an opportunity for fellow pan lovers and pan players to help with the area's ongoing recovery following the 2009 bushfires.

This was fabulous, made my heart feel so good. Thanks Australia for doing this festival, it was sweet to see the children and adults in costumes reminded me of home. Yay to the band from Oman. I loved it all. It was great to hear Nettie, Nettie played brought back some sweet memories. The entire thing makes me want to come for the next one.
