Wow, what a spectacle!
What can we say ?
Two of the things that we have experienced in our life which seems to have merged yesterday are, following the NBA and Steelpan Music.
TASSO was honoured to perform along with the Toronto Raptors in the Championship Parade Celebrations.
We are very busy preparing to represent Canada with a tour of Spain this summer but we jumped at the chance to support the Raptors whom we all love!
What a wonderful experience!
TASSO have participated in many parades over the years but frankly, we have yet to see huge crowds like this for such an event!!
The close interaction with the throngs of spectators did affect and slow down the movement forward but the proximity was infectious and reminded us of the longtime Caribana Parade before barriers and ropes were introduced.
One truly “felt” part of something special which inspired us to “play along” even more, we were showered with much love and appreciation all along the route by everyone involved.
It was truly an honour for TASSO to help celebrate with the Fans, the City, the Nation and the Raptors!
It was also an overwhelming moment of pride to showcase “Steelpan” on the world stage, a moment TASSO will always remember fondly.
TASSO is about ta take the “We The North” movement musically to Spain.
Help us get there.
Let’s take the “IM” out of the word “Impossible “ and make it “ POSSIBLE “
