Barbara its a different time today, personally I have to give the masqueraders much credit for wearing their full costumes. If I had to choose a time to play mas 45 years ago and today, it would be with today's generation, no doubt. I believe we made serious progress, today we got the cool down trucks, mobile restrooms and food all included with your costume. The savannah is also now paved so no dust as you parade in the savannah. If you are spectator then views may differ.
45 years ago, masqueraders wore costumes that depicted a theme easily identifiable to the onlooker. The costumes were made of fabric that covered most of their bodies. Musicians played and danced in the bands too! Would somebody tell me about the progress made in Carnival since then?
