An amazing song with beautiful images of Trinidad & Tobago on our 50th Anniversary of Independence.
NOTE: This video was put together by Kerry Gibbons, the nephew of one of my closest friends, and former Captain of Phase II, Edme "Garzo" Gibbons. ANYONE who knew "Gibby", knew they could run down to the licensing office on Wrightson Road, and he would help them. He was also one of my first pan teachers, and basketball "coaches". (We played for Sisson's Braves.) I am yet to hear "Portrait of Trinidad", and not get emotional. I LOVE MY COUNTRY! It hurts to see what we have become, and I cannot sit here in the US, and not do anything. That is my ONLY reason for going back home this year. I hope you ALL understand that our country DESPERATELY needs us!!! Trinidad and Tobago made me, and I am going to give back to my homeland. (Holding back the tears...lol.)
Ghost Who LOVES His Country!!! Ah missin' home BAD BAD BAD!
In Memory of Edme "Garzo" Gibbons. Continue to Rise In Peace, "big brother"!
