Dane Gulstan, together with the group, Concerned Individuals for Pan, is calling out all pan players, band leaders and steel pan well wishers to a meeting. The venue is the Newtown Playboys pan theatre at #64 Tragarete Road, Newtown on Thursday 27th July, starting at 6pm.
Agenda to be discussed includes proposed protest action against Pan Trinbago for all the moneys owed to us by the organization; as well as the incompetence, the lies, the broken promises, the continuous disrespect; and the fact that the last AGM was not completed but a continuation meeting was promised, with the intent to engage in meaningful discussion on the organization’s $30,000,000.00 debt and the figures that were presented in an audited financial statement.
Here is a list of things to consider.
Appearance fees for Panorama 2016 have not been paid to any bands. Money which was given to Pan Trinbago by the NCC.
The $300.00 players’ remittance for 2016 semi-finals. Money which was given to Pan Trinbago by the NCC.
Junior Panorama 2016 not paid and all the answers we have gotten since 2016 are ‘hold on till next week’.
International Panorama. Government paid all the money they agreed to. Still all national bands but one, to whom the arranger/owner of the band and Mr. Diaz are good friends, have not been paid.
2017 players’ remittance, to which a high ranking NCC officer admitted that the ERO, treasurer and the secretary of Pan Trinbago met with NCC and agreed to $500. instead of the $1,000. payment to players which band leaders signed to, for the Panorama 2017 rules, creating a legal and binding contract.
The two cars which we paid for and were imported by our president, through illegal channels and still we have not seen any of them. In addition, when asked for an explanation, the president continues to say that he is exploring his legal options, so he cannot talk about it.
Financial advisor’s secret contract. What is his pay and for what advice? Is it to advise us how to get our organization into a 30,000,000. dollar debt.
Is our organization still renting cars for use by the ERO, the PRO and the secretary, whilst they continue to get the $5,000. travelling allowance.
And the list goes on.

My point is that taking over Pan Trinbago is okay do you all you all really want to inherit that debt of 30 million ? What about forming anew organisation.

To be frank I don't see anything coming out of this meeting if the plan is to rehash old stuff, you meet with Pan Trinbago they will play you along. You all have to come up with a new plan, ah "HOSTILE TAKEOVER" get all the large and medium bands to boycott 2018 panorama if they don't step down immediately. Don't waste time on wey the money gone, all this is separate to removing them from office. As a matter of fact the best thing is if the CIP and ISF merge and get the steelband movement on solid ground. Sponsors, Government and all pan people will be happy to support. Today just the mention of the word Pan Trinbago makes people angry.
