  • Referring to all the challenges Petrotrin is facing, Al-Rawi said, “The point is, if we were to give Petrotrin $25 billion right now and say here is the money, you are guaranteed to lose $2 billion per year. That is an unsustainable equation.”

That is my line!!! The AG used my line about PAN TRINBAGO!!!

"You could take all the BEST BRAINS in the PAN FRATERNITY and give them TWO BILLION DOLLARS to develop PAN and they will be BROKE in two years making a set of excuses."

I posted something to that extent some time in the past.

    • Claude , I keep telling you that Pan Trinbago serves a useful purpose for the government by keeping pan people for being an organized political organization , ( like for instance a union) , but you won't listen.

That's why they give Pan Trinbago money.

They keep pan people OUT OF POLITICS !

Like I keep saying , can you imagine what would happen if , instead of the corporation called Pan Trinbago , we had a Pan Players Union , capable of calling strikes and demonstrations ?

Capable of tying up Port of Spain for days with disgruntled pan people ?

Pan Trinbago , the Corporation cannot do that !

      WAKE UP !!!

      GOVERNMENT LOVES PAN TRINBAGO !

And notice I did not say PNM , because it applies to ALL GOVERNMENT !

  • More DEBT for THE YOUTH to INHERIT ... that country is going to turn into -- what TRUMP call it!!!

Exit packages for the more than 3,000 employees at state-owned Petrotrin are being worked out but the company is in no position to say how much this exercise will cost, what exactly will be offered or how soon payments will be made.

What seems certain, however, is that the company will have to borrow money to meet the payments to staff once packages are decided upon.

  • “We are now 101 years-old in the refinery business and the purpose of getting into it is no longer relevant, but we are holding on to it because there are emotional ties. And because it is there, what we’ve done now as a board is look at it hard and said “Hey, let’s start from a clean sheet.”

So why can't we have a CLEAN SHEET with PAN TRINBAGO?

PETROTRIM is a FEW THOUSAND VOTES. But PAN TRINBAGO is 350,000 votes (doh doubt me I get that number from THE RIGHT HONOURABLE KEITH DIAZ) -- so they cannot SHUT DOWN Pan Trinbago.

Like Dr. Williams told THE PAN MEN at his very first meeting with them: There is POLITICS IN EVERYTHING!!!

On a more sombre note, I am feeling very sorry for the current and future generation of YOUTHS in Trinidad because their PATRIMONY was spent "MAKING MAS" and "JUMPING UP" in STEELBAND!!!

Even today, KEITH DIAZ still have his HAND IN THE POT that belongs to the NEXT GENERATION!!!
