  • Yes Bede , You got me there.

I never knew anyone to tune an iron. I remember in the old days, you took a piece of iron from a junk auto, or whatever you found and tested the sound,if you were pleased with the sound, you stashed it away.

Some pieces  of iron were just naturally sweeter than others, and steelbands prized them and held on to them.

Iron "doh spoil", so I bet some of the same pieces have been in use for decades.

  • Greetings:  All yuh should know by now dat Cecil is the PR man for the Retirement Fund. If all the rest was to follow the bredren's example, we could begin  by Christmas to send some help to the breds and sistrens. Guidance Dr. Lance Seunarine.

    • Royce Russell of Panapparels  told me last week that he is willing to match the 20% off anything purchase from www.panapparels.com.

  • Greetings Will credit the Retirement Fund. However, please put WST on the orders.  Guidance Dr. Lance Seunarine.(www.tricanbooks.com).

  • Greetings I received an order for three books from Claude Gonzales. Is he one of us from WST? I want to credit the Retiremenet Fund if he is one of us. Guidance Dr. Lance Seunarine (www.tricanbooks.com).

    • Sure Claude Gonzales is one of us, ask Phantom. LMAO

      • Cecil: When the GHOST come back and start sharing licks I hope you are around to protect and sanctoah meh, eh. Tell Dr. lance to give you the credit for the purchase of those books; yuh working hard for the cause.

        • Claude:

          1. The GHOST never went away. I've been busy with my band, but have been checking in.
          2. My intentions were to share ideas (like the "Blueprint" and the "Book Club"), not "licks". Any "licks" shared was in defense.
          3. I realize that this WST membership is selfish, egotistical, and clannish, and could not care less about the local panman or panwoman.
          4. I have done ALL that can be done to awaken us into action, and apathy seems to be the chosen mode.
          5. I hope that, one day, this WST membership, becomes more powerful and relevant to the issues impacting our local pan industry and her workers. I assumed that you all joined to make a difference in people's lives. Now, it is clear, that, you all care about your own agendas, and are not as powerful nor as relevant, as I credited you as being.
          6. I leave the future of pan to those you exult on this WST forum. I have done my ALL in attempting to mobilize you into action. My conscience is clear.
          7. The frivolous, myopic attitudes of this WST membership, are not what I aim to be a part of.
          8. EVERY post I presented, was to build up, not break down.
          9. I am not as loyal, nor as patriotic as my dad, to an ungrateful pan fraternity and nation. Don't expect me to take abuse for another 40 years. I rather go the route that Hugh Borde, Ellie Mannette, and other expatriates took. Loyalty and patriotism are NOT valued in our society, and certainly not in the pan fraternity, much less this WST forum.
          10. I turn over ALL efforts to those on this WST forum, who are much more loved, appreciated, and respected, to making pan successful in Trinidad & Tobago. I wish you ALL, nothing but the best!
