No more "promises" and "wait and see" and "fat lady waiting to sing" and "the Minister about to drop bombshells" and other assorted wishful thinking. We gave THE CIP every opportunity to state their case and win the battle but it was never in the cards.
As I said many times before, I don't think that there are more than 30 people IN TRINIDAD who ever read this forum. And when you get to the specific bandleader demographic -- merrytonestothebone is probably the only person in Trinidad with a steelband who graces this forum. So how are you going to run a campaign where the voters never see or hear your message -- and expect to win. Especially when I have spent years on this forum telling the world about the political skills of KEITH DIAZ.
They even let Russell Providence come very late in the game and throw dirt on their graves. And even the ENGLISH LADY who had earlier promised to meet with them (Aquil and Gregory) when she went to Trinidad for the coming PANORAMA -- she suddenly changed her mind and jumped ship and said that she wanted to meet with RUSSELL PROVIDENCE instead so that he could teach her about CALYPSO.
So THE CIP just cannot even win a tourist hand!!! Much less control of PAN TRINBAGO!!!
