Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Days after Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) dropped its sponsorship of Skiffle Bunch, the steelband has a new sponsor. The band, which is confident of winning the 2012 National Panorama title, will now be known as Junior Sammy Group Skiffle. An interim three-month agreement was signed between the group’s executive chairman, Junior E Sammy, and the band’s CEO, Junia Regrello, at the pan theatre on Thursday night. Sammy said his group came to the rescue of the top steelband after its long-standing sponsor, TCL, indicated its inability to continue with its sponsorship for this year’s Panorama competition.

Junior Sammy Group you did a good thing.
Permalink Reply by Ian Franklin on January 21, 2012 at 10:38pm I commented that Mr. Regrello is a very resourceful person, after learning about the lost of his Sponsor of many a year. I am confident that his ablity will transcend JSG's 3-month interim sponsorship offer.
Cogratulations to Junior Sammy and the Skiffle Bunch. This has all to do with southern pride. TCL only raising cement, but crying broke. These guys have a monoply on bullshit? Anyway we must thank them for their many years of sponsorship. Pan people must, and I repeat must, never be ungrateful,,,,,,,NEVER.
