Mere weeks before the National Panorama Competition, Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) has withdrawn its sponsorship of Skiffle Bunch Steel Orchestra. After 30-plus years it has shattered our hopes, especially when Panorama is expected to start in two weeks time,” chief executive officer of Skiffle Bunch, Junia Regrello, said, yesterday. “However, as an enterprising organisation we have put alternative arrangements in place,” he added.

Good Luck Skiffle...I am rooting for this young woman. Too bad this has happned at this time, however Skiffle has had a long time to prepare for a plan "B". Nothing last forever.
The arranger has the determination. She brought St. Margaret's up to a level where the band, although a school side performed at a high standard. No sponsorship or lack thereof will deter or distract her from her ultimate goal. And as said before, a sponsor cannot kill the skill and talent that is already present and embedded in a great band. All the best to Shenelle Abraham and the members of Skiffle Bunch. I look forward to great panorama performances from you.

Well Junia Regrello should not be surprised about that as politics stretches it arms filthy dirty fingers included across all things in T&T. Mr Regrello we know that you are a fighter and it is sad that after all these years TCL group has abandoned Skiffle Bunch. Its so sad to loose a sponsor at anytime. I dont know what is the cause for this sudden lost of sponsorship, but I think that they will rebound from this and continue to be a premium band in T&T. Sorry junia and Skiffle Bunch members for the lost of your sponsor. I did not know that "H. A." was changed to TCL. I wonder if Mr. Regrello had a feeling that this was going to happen as far back as 4 months ago, so that is why he had to downsize to a "lower price"arranger, (no offense to Shanelle) I know that Junia is very resourceful and a new sponsor may have already be in the works.

How can you degrade the young lady and the band with your statement. Have you heard any of that young woman's arrangement and is it so bad to introduce a YOUNG FEMALE arranger that a sponsor panicks and abandon a band. How do you know that she is of a lower price than anyone else. Make a contribution but oh god have respect for people.
